Vendela Publishing is owned and operated by professional authors with decades of experience in both publishing and marketing. We’ve felt the frustration of overpriced packages and vague promises. So we built something better—something fair, flexible, and focused on you.

We’re not here to take over your project. We’re here to partner with you.

Our Submission Process

We accept completed books and partial manuscripts (a synopsis and 3 sample chapters) across most fiction genres. We also accept nonfiction.
Note: We do not currently accept erotica.

📖 Phase 1: Submission & Health Check – $197

Before we offer a contract, we run your manuscript through two layers of review:

• Detailed manuscript analysis software

• Personal Evaluation by our acquisitions team

You’ll receive an extensive professional analysis report, including writing feedback and marketing insights—whether or not you publish with us.

If your writing meets our standards, we’ll offer a contract. If it needs adjustments, we’ll give guidance and invite you to resubmit. Most publishers don’t give second chances. We do.

✅ We welcome authors age 18+ (or via parent/guardian if younger)

🛠️ Phase 2: Production – $1,799

This deposit covers our base costs for publishing and distribution—about 85% less than what most hybrids charge.

We have an a la carte model that gives the author control of who designs their cover and who creates their layout design. If you already have a cover and layout done, you won't have to pay for those again.

After acceptance, you’ll be paired with your personal Account Manager to support you through:

• Cover prep

• Quality checks

• Upload to 39,000+ retailers and libraries)

• Optional Large Print and hardcover editions at no extra charge

• Your marketing plan and implementation

You’ll also receive:

-SEO-optimized back cover and metadata

-5 Scheduled Book Events where you show up In Real Life and engage with your readers.
-Marketing exposure via our website, newsletter, and social media
-Custom Books2Read author page, fully optimized for search
-Your Customized Marketing Pack, including:

• Subtitle suggestions

• Reader hooks + talking points

• Podcast prep guide

• Email scripts for launch & outreach

• Hashtags and ad-ready key phrases

This pack alone is valued at more than $2,000 if purchased separately. Ours is included.

What we don't do:

We don't design covers

We don't do interior layout design

We don't do editing of the manuscript

We have experts we can recommend to you, who do a wonderful job and are affordable. Or you can use someone you already work with. We will give you guidance every step of the way while you work with your service providers, if you need us.

🤝 Phase 3: Ongoing Support – $100/month for 12 months

All Vendela authors are invited into our Marketing Mastermind Community for monthly guidance, visibility tips, and encouragement.

After 12 months, you may continue with the Marketing Mastermind Community if you'd like, or drop down to $37/month maintenance.

You Stay in Control

We don’t take royalties.
We don’t lock you into expensive service bundles.
