Please Note: Your first step is to put your book through our Health Check. If the writing is up to our standards, we will offer you a contract. If, for some reason, it doesn't make the grade, we’ll offer guidance to help you improve it before resubmitting it.

When you submit your manuscript for the health check, we will put it through detailed analysis software, then our acquisitions team will perform an evaluation. All submissions will receive the full and comprehensive analysis as a 16-page PDF document. You can use this information for your marketing as well as improvements to the book itself, whether or not you publish with Vendela or one if our imprints.

Phase 1: Submission (Health Check) $197

Vendela Publishing considers submissions from a wide range of fiction genres written in English, including romance, cozy mystery, fantasy, historical fiction, sci-fi, and horror. At this time, we do not accept erotica.

We publish nonfiction under our Wildeve imprint and Large Print under our Baccara imprint.

After acceptance, your personal Account Manager will guide you through everything.

We will SEO-optimize your back cover text and other marketing text, upload to 39,000 retailers and libraries, add your book to our web site, newsletter, and social media, create your unique page on BooksToRead.com, fully optimized and searchable to get you more traffic. We also have an option for a hardcover, Large Print edition that we market to libraries across the country.

We will also provide your Customized Marketing Pack which includes subtitle suggestions, hashtags, talking points for your podcast interviews, reader hooks, key phrases for ads, and several email scripts including a series of 5 email templates you can use to promote your book to your email connections and an email to encourage people to participate in your launch.

We do not require a book proposal. Our decision on whether to publish is based on the quality of the writing. Period.

The Marketing Pack alone is worth more than $1000 if you were to hire your own copy writer. The Optimized text is worth at least $350. When you tally up all that goes into our production and the help you will receive, the value keeps going up and up. You will receive far more than what traditional or hybrid publishers usually provide.
